What a fun day! Rotary Club 583 celebrated Perfect Attendance Day with the students at Needham Elementary.  We had pizza, oreos, drinks and a good time visiting with the students and staff.  There were over 30 children with perfect attendance.  We also had a perfect attendance Rotarian on the visit - our own Jerry Frye.  Here are some pictures of our celebration.  Pictured below from left to right: Ruth Barajas, Principal, Ariana Rogriguez-Ruvira, Employee of the Year and Rotary Club President Kirk Stangeland holding a plaque for Employee of the Year.  The remaining pictures are of the kids and Rotarians enjoying each others company.  Mrs. Barajas had the kids share something they had done for others or seen done for others.  They had some heartwarming stories and it was inspiring to hear how they collected shoes for people in need in another country as well as help with providing food for needy in the community at Thanksgiving last year.  Here is a link to a short video of an interview with the principal.  The background picture is of Needham School circa 1963-64.
