May 28, 2020, Giving Opportunities to Kids Foundation (GOT Kids) Executive Director Lynn Aebi and President of the Board Ron Frietas gave the Lodi Rotary Club a presentation on their program. It was interesting, informative and educational. Here is a link to their presentation in PDF format for easy reading and printing.
GOT Kids, founded in 2012, is a non-profit foundation created to support students in the Lodi Unified School District. The purpose of the foundation is to fund extended learning experiences for schools and individual classrooms that would otherwise not be possible.
GOT Kids supports: Music; Art; Drama, Academic Teams; Anti-Bullying Efforts; Assemblies; Special Class or School Projects; Student Recognition; Study Trips; and Athletics.
GOT Kids has sponsored anti-bullying assemblies at several middle schools, science camp, and athletic programs throughout the District. A Request for Funds process allows educators at the school sites to request funds for their specific project. Through fund raising events and generous donations from community members and businesses, the GOT Kids Board of Directors members are excited to send money directly to schools and classrooms.
They have a great fundraiser in January each year. You won't want to miss it! Last year they had 400 attend. If you would like to be contacted regarding upcoming GOT Kids events, please email your information to info@gotkidsca.org.
